Healing Care Hospice is seeking a trustworthy, skilled, and reliable candidate to serve as the Full Charge Bookkeeper for our growing organization. The candidate will be in charge of tracking, recording, analyzing, and reporting all of the myriad financial transactions underlying our daily operations.

Duties include:

  • Reviewing receivables logs to ensure timely payment of medical claims by Medicare, Medi-Cal, and private insurance carriers.

  • Following up on outstanding claims and working collaboratively with your teammates and our medical billing company to resolve the underlying issues causing delays in claims payment.

  • Reviewing, validating, recording, and paying vendor invoices.

  • Reviewing, validating, and recording monthly company charge card statements.

  • Performing monthly reconciliations of operating bank account.

  • Participating in preparing annual budgets and updating said budgets during quarterly budget reviews.

  • Producing accurate financial reports for company management and ownership.

  • Ensuring company is compliant with federal, state, and, local regulations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, or related area of study from an accredited four-year university.

  • 2-3 years of verifiable bookkeeping or accounting experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of double-entry accounting principles and practice.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online accounting system.
